Operation is simple, with the stimulation level/vibrate selection dial at the top of the transmitter for easy access. Use the switch to quickly select a dog for on-the-spot training and to see where it is in the field.

3 starsThe Pro 550 Plus controls are a bit clumsy to use one-handed. It would be nice to have controls similar to the Sport Pro instead of the dial on top for intensity level/training mode. This loses 1 "Star" in the review.On a recent hunt the "Tone" key would not bring up the screen for calibrating or pairing collars. Tech support suggested a factory reset by plugging into my computer. It did not work. It was 6 months past warranty expiration so they told me I could send it in and they would repair it for about $169 or buy a new one. Instead, I tried the old solution of disconnecting the battery to reset the computer. This fixed the problem and it now works fine. To do this, follow the owner's manual instructions for battery replacement but just disconnect and reconnect the battery connector. This was not suggested by tech support so it loses another "Star" in the review. The screws for the backplate are a T6.
